In the backseat of her mother’s car, Imogen Lennon from Canowindra in rural New South Wales began choking on her “favorite” delicacy, a frankfurter sausage.
When the ambulance didn’t show up, Sam Lennon, her mother, drove to the nearest hospital.
However, Imogen later passed away there, earlier this month, in what family friends termed a “unthinkable tragedy.”
Beautiful Imogen passed away at the hospital despite Sam’s valiant efforts, which included calling an ambulance, getting assistance from a bystander, and ultimately driving Imogen there by herself because the ambulance couldn’t get there in time. Family friend Tamara Harrison wrote this on a fundraising page.
There are no words that could adequately express how devastated Imogen’s family is, and it is impossible to comprehend how they could make sense of such a horrific loss in such a way.
Imagining life without Imogen is impossible.
Imogen was described as a “bright, lively, and lovely” young girl in tributes.
Today is the scheduled day for Imogen’s funeral, which will be “a appropriate celebration of her brief life.”
Harrison stated that she wished to increase understanding of what had transpired for other families.
