A 50-year-old lady was killed when a 20-meter-long tree branch fell over her car while it was traveling along a rural highway.
On Saturday afternoon in the NSW southern highlands near Burrawang, the driver of a station wagon was traveling west when the branch struck her windscreen, according to a witness.
The driver, whose identity has not yet been officially released, passed away at the scene of the sad collision.
The Hume Police District officers established a crime scene and started an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the collision.
