According to Party Leader Chris Minns, New South Wales Labor is “supportive of the forestry industry.”
At a media briefing on Thursday, Mr. Minns said, “We’ve been encouraged over the last week in interactions with the union movement and portions of the forestry business.
“We’re optimistic that we can find a method to safeguard the area of land required for one-fifth of the NSW koala population.
However, it must be done with consultation; this week, we started that consultation, and it must continue.
