Her alleged killer has been spared from appearing in court, two days after a Sydney mother’s body was discovered in a western Sydney apartment.
Following his accusation of killing his partner Dayna Isaac, 28, in Penrith Local Court on Wednesday, Paul Jason Sultana, 32, had a brief hearing in his case.
The suspected murderer was excused from appearing in court or by AVL while her father, Garry English, was there for the mention.
Although Sultana and Isaac had been dating for a short while, the young mother’s body was discovered on Monday in an apartment in Penrith.
Police are investigating a burned-out car that belonged to the mother of two that was discovered close in some wilderness.
Tuesday morning, Sultana was detained in Cranebrook and transported to the Penrith Police Station where he was charged with murder.
Parham Mohammadian, Sultana’s attorney, spoke with reporters outside of court on Wednesday.
I simply want to ask everyone to be open-minded until the actual facts are revealed, and then we’ll go on from there, he added.
It will be up to the Director of Public Prosecutions to address the situation.
By March 17, when the case will be brought back before the Penrith courts, a brief of evidence will have been served.
