Police are looking for a guy who attacked a jogger brutally while she was out on a nighttime run in Sydney’s west.
The woman was jogging in Lidcombe when the incident occurred, and according to surveillance footage provided by the police, the man who she had never met wrapped his hands around her neck and pushed her to the ground.
The assault took place on December 29 at 6:50 p.m. along Railway Parade.
Although the woman did not sustain any significant wounds, the assault has traumatized her.
The incident, said to acting superintendent Jeffery Walsh, was “a unusual one.”
She was merely jogging when he approached from behind, and the next moment she was on the ground, according to Walsh.
She was fortunate not to have suffered major physical damage because the video clearly shows how hard she hit the ground.
The attacker is described as having an Asian appearance, being between the ages of 20 and 25, standing at 170 cm tall, having a thin body, and having black hair that is shoulder length.
He was sporting a dark t-shirt, dark track pants with white stripes, and white shoes at the moment.
Despite scouring the area, police have not received any additional reports of the man.
