Officers from the murder squad are looking into the case after a 31-year-old woman’s body was discovered in a west Sydney residence.
Yesterday around 2:30 pm, an injured woman was discovered at a residence on Borrowdale Way in Cranebrook, Penrith, and emergency services were summoned.
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the site.
Detectives looking into homicides are following “a number of lines of inquiry,” the NSW Police said today.
Acting Supt. John Nelson of the Nepean Police Area Command stated, “We don’t believe this was a random act and it’s possible that the victim and someone else are acquainted.”
She arrived back at the spot in the early morning, and between that time and 2:30 p.m., something happened to the sad young woman.
According to information provided to the police, the woman was residing at the friend’s house.
He claimed that they are looking into how the woman met her killer and whether it might have happened online.
According to Nelson, the residents of the house are assisting with inquiries.
A neighbor reported that they were “gobsmacked.”
