In the midst of a major road in Sydney, a man was arrested following a foot pursuit that resulted in charges.
The 43-year-old was apprehended by police after reportedly punching a passing motorist through his car window on the Princes Highway at Rockdale.
A Taser was used to control him.
Allegedly, while at the Hotel Rockdale, Ahmed Abbas was violent and threatened customers with knives and bricks.
According to reports, Abbas fled the scene on foot across the Princes Highway when police were sent to the location at approximately 9:30 pm yesterday.
His pursuit by two police officers is captured on surveillance footage as he dashes across the center of the six-lane highway.
After that, he allegedly struck a man through his car window and kicked a vehicle before the cops used a Taser to subdue him.
While Rockdale cops handcuffed him, northbound lanes were blocked.
Even though he was accused of assault and resisting arrest, Abbas did not have any weapons on him.

More than $300,000 in designer goods, including Louis Vuitton, he allegedly spent, according to the police.
