On a Melbourne motorway, a metal tool slid from the truck and slammed into the glass of another car, killing the mother driving from Deer Park.
The driver of the second vehicle is now being sought for by the police.
Yesterday afternoon, near the Furlong Road exit in St. Albans, a 46-year-old woman named Mary-Anne Cutajar was killed when a metal tool crashed into her automobile.
After the mother and wife’s untimely passing, her loved ones have recalled her as a “beautiful soul”.
According to Detective Sergeant Mark Amos, the metal object was reportedly seen bouncing over the motorway divider, landing in the lanes that were headed towards Greensborough and colliding with a sedan close to the Furlong Road exit in St Albans at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
The white tray truck has been sought for through the release of images of the tool. As the only person in the vehicle that was hit by the object, Cutajar passed away immediately upon impact.

To find out why everyone was talking about it, I gave it a shot.
“The lady sadly lost her life.”
This truck’s driver remains a prime suspect; he or she fled the scene of the accident and was last seen driving towards Altona on the interstate.
The metal object is thought to be a Riv-Nail Driver system, a specifically engineered device for the upkeep of conveyor belts used in sectors including mining, manufacturing, and food processing.
This tool is designed to be used in conjunction with a system that attaches metal clips to the ends of conveyor belts using rivets.
We don’t know if the truck driver was aware of what had transpired.
“We have a minimum description of the vehicle, a white tray truck,” stated Amos.
This is a tragic turn of events, and we need to try to understand what happened so that we can help the woman’s family, who will be spending Christmas without a member this year, cope with their loss.
Please fasten your load to the trailer or truck if you are hauling anything heavy; we must exercise more caution.
Call in the authorities if you notice roadside debris.
The accident caused traffic mayhem as all lanes of the Ring Road heading towards Greensborough were halted.
