A housemate has laid flowers on the grave of a buddy who perished in the fire that broke out in their Melbourne apartment.
The residence in Melbourne’s north-west was consumed by fire this morning, damaging nearby buildings and forcing neighbors to evacuate.
Within the charred remnants of the St. Albans property was discovered the lifeless body of a guy who was thought to be in his thirties.
He was described as “very friendly” by another neighbor, Kashiesh Dubbal.
A little after 2:30 in the morning today, crews were requested to respond to Power Street.
Homes on either side were affected by smoke and fire as the fire progressed, despite firefighters’ best efforts.
The three remaining residents of the house that burned down are being helped out by the council in finding temporary housing.
While their homes are being evaluated for damage, some neighbors will also have to find other places to stay.
The authorities are treating the deadly fire as a terrible accident while they try to determine its cause.
