An Adelaide home invasion with an alleged attack on a 68-year-old woman led to the charging of a 17-year-old.
The woman was allegedly beaten with a wooden stake at around 3 in the morning after a gang came into her Mitchell Park home and smashed a window.
Just seconds before the alleged incident, security cameras caught multiple individuals on Maldon Avenue, some of whom were clutching objects.
During the alleged assault, a woman screams for aid.
Another clip showed an alleged assailant walking up to a parked car in a driveway, where he allegedly spotted a camera that was subsequently torn from the wall.
The woman is taken to the hospital and remains there while she receives treatment for her mild head injuries, as shown from another CCTV perspective.
According to the victim’s neighbors, she has been in her home for many years.
It has come to light that she was preparing to transfer to a nursing home in the past several days.
The woman’s residence was raided by police who apprehended a 17-year-old male who hid his face.
The charges against him included aggravated assault and aggravated serious criminal trespass.
Just an hour prior, he was allegedly involved in another assault on four individuals at a Marion gas station, and the police have charged him with both incidents.
