This morning, a pharmacist was discovered in a residence in Melbourne’s northeast, leading to the arrest of a guy with no known address.
The man’s death was discovered in his townhouse on Davidson Street in Bellfield, near Ivanhoe, at approximately 11:30 in the morning.
Concerns had been raised after he failed to show up for work, according to the police. Several stab wounds were discovered on the man, who had bought the house earlier this year.
Several hundred meters away from the residence, police this afternoon apprehended a 54-year-old guy with no definite address.
It is suspected that the victim is not familiar with him.
It is known that he had a weapon on him and that his clothes were smeared with blood.
The neighbors contacted triple zero after hearing a woman’s screams at 11:30 p.m. yesterday.
It was just screeches, and I couldn’t understand a word she said.
“Over the course of perhaps ten minutes,” Susan Cotchin, a neighbor, remarked.
“There was a police car there last night so I thought it had been dealt, with but then this morning we heard more sobbing.”
After checking the area, the police stated they were unable to gain entry to the property or ascertain the source of the complaint, so they departed.
At the crime scene, forensic investigators and the homicide squad are sifting through evidence.
The 54-year-old male is currently being held by the authorities, who intend to question him later this evening.
