This morning, a body was discovered in the Tweed River in northern New South Wales.
Someone in the area noticed a body in the water at Jack Evans Boat Harbour, so they contacted the police at approximately 6.15 in the morning.
From the water, they extricated the corpse of a guy thought to be in his 60s.
Flippers and diving gear were described by an eyewitness as being worn by the man.
The man may have drowned last night, according to authorities.
