Child exploitation material has led to the charges against a police officer in Queensland.
An officer from the southern region, who is 20 years old, was charged with one count of accessing and transferring child abuse material late yesterday, according to the police.
He is scheduled to make an appearance at the Brisbane Magistrates Court next month and has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the service faces serious allegations of misconduct,” according to a police report.
