An Adelaide man is requesting home detention from a magistrate after pleading guilty to sexually harassing women in parks.
He claims he will never do it again. Vu Tru Dinh faced twelve counts of disorderly conduct from November 2017 to May 2018.
It was completely unintentional and I didn’t have any reason to do it.
Dinh reassured everyone, even outside of court, that it wouldn’t happen again.
The 21-year-old Paradise resident repeated the same pledge in court.
He repeatedly told the court that he is sorry for what he did, and his willingness to represent himself comes from his education in law.
But the magistrate made it clear that Dinh is a “great concern to the community” and that the charges are serious, so he was ordered to see a lawyer.
The next hearing in this matter is set for November 28.
