Following allegations that he injured an officer and rammed a police car, a man has been charged.
Just before noon on Friday, officers from the Victoria Police Department discovered what they believe to be a stolen vehicle at a residence on Seaford Road in the seaside district of Seaford, Melbourne.
Police initiated a pursuit after trying to apprehend the 34-year-old male. The motorist allegedly repeatedly crashed into a police vehicle after reversing into it, according to the police.
After that, he sprang out of the speeding vehicle and ran away with food in his pockets. Despite his injuries, the male cop in the automobile was sent to the hospital.
Not long after, on Walnut Court in Seaford, the man was apprehended by the police.
He was sent to the hospital and subsequently faced numerous charges, including two counts of assaulting police, two counts of resisting police, and owning a handgun.
On October 16, he is scheduled to make an appearance at the Frankston Magistrate’s Court.
