A man has been denied bail following his arraignment for the alleged murder of his wife in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
At their Pokolbin home, where they operated a bed and breakfast business, 46-year-old Natalie Galcsik was struck by a car on Friday evening.
Her husband, Steven, is allegedly behind the wheel.
Following his arrest on charges of murder in a domestic violence incident involving his wife, 47-year-old Mr. Galcsik was today denied bail at Newcastle Local Court.
During a fundraiser held after Ms. Galcsik’s passing, her son Alex praised his mother, calling her a “dedicated” and “selfless” individual.
“My mother dedicated her life to raising myself and my siblings with selflessness and love despite difficult circumstances; she was the best mum we could have asked for,” according to him.
A welfare concern report prompted the police to respond to the residence on Coulson Road at approximately 6:10 p.m.
At the site, medical personnel assessed Ms. Galcsik’s injuries.
She was pronounced dead despite the best efforts of the paramedics.
The Cessnock Police Station received the arrest warrant for Mr. Galcsik, who was subsequently brought to face charges related to the murder of his wife.
The next time we see him is in November in the courthouse.
