Near Engadine, at about midday, Cleanaway Waste Management was the site of an emergency call.
Paramedics from NSW Ambulance and Sutherland police attempted CPR, however the man succumbed to his injuries.
The incident has been forwarded to SafeWork NSW, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner, according to the police.
