President Joe Biden of the United States made the controversial claim during a heated microphone moment that China is testing the United States, Japan, India, and Australia.
The leaders gathered at the president’s former Delaware high school for a summit on future difficulties, and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese made a solemn pledge that the Quad alliance could endure political upheaval.
The president made it clear that the US-Australia-Japan-India alliance will remain in place following the November election.
“Challenges will come, the world will change but the Quad is here to stay,” according to him.
Joe Biden continued speaking after the cameras stopped rolling.
“China continues to behave aggressively testing this all across the region,” according to him.
“It is true in the South China Sea, the East China Sea, South China, South Asia and the Taiwan Straits and of China’s President.”
China recently rammed Philippine coastguard warships.
Further action against illicit fishing will be taken in the South China Sea next year when the Australian Border Force, coast guards from India and Japan, and American ships all work together.
“The sum of the four countries is more than any individual nation can do,” stated Albanese.
For the Indo-Pacific region, the Quad offered health resources to combat cervical cancer.
As part of his legacy, Joe Biden hopes to leave this relationship in place.
He and another leader will be officially expelled from this family by the end of next year.
However, Beijing’s threats will outlive all of them.
A key component of Australia’s worldwide strength, according to Albanese, is the Quad.
When it comes to fostering regional stability, Australia relies heavily on the Quad.
According to him, a more powerful Quad equals a more powerful Australia.
“Together, our four nations are committed to an open, stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific, and we have a shared vision for a region that is governed by accepted rules and norms where all countries can co-operate, trade and thrive.”
Clean energy, cyber resilience, critical and emerging technologies, infrastructure, space, marine security, and counter-terrorism will also be covered at the summit, according to Albanese.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India will host the Quad Leaders’ Summit in 2025.
