Three adolescents have been charged in Queensland for an alleged cross-border criminal spree.
Police detained the teenagers after learning that a Range Rover and a BMW had been parked at a company on Hinkler Drive in Nerang for several hours.
Officers discovered two adolescents sleeping in one car and apprehended a third who fled on foot.
Police said that the BMW was stolen from Carindale on September 12 and the Range Rover was stolen from Merrimac on September 13.
Acting Superintendent Peter Miles stated that the trio traveled north from Victoria earlier this month.
“They were kept in custody over the weekend, police have been liaising with Victoria Police to find out whether there have been other offences committed from Victoria, through NSW to Queensland.”
According to Mark News, a grandma was allegedly attacked and threatened with a knife during the Carindale theft.
“They wore black gloves, black clothing, and black shoes.” He unlocked my door and ordered, “Get out of the car.”
“I didn’t go out but he showed me the knife.”
A 14 year old girl, a 14 year old boy, and a 15 year old boy, all from Victoria, have been charged with armed robbery and unlawful use of motor vehicles.
