Three car crashes on NSW’s Central Coast have killed two people and injured five more.
Police were dispatched to Empire Bay Road in Empire Bay at 8.30 p.m. for a two-car incident.
Police reported two automobiles traveling in opposite directions collided head on. A 20-year-old lady, the driver of one automobile, died on the scene.
The second automobile allegedly fled the road and crashed into an embankment.
The female motorist in her thirties became trapped before Fire and Rescue NSW released her.
She was treated by paramedics and sent to the hospital in serious condition.
Police are investigating the crash’s circumstances.
Further up the coast, a man was killed in a two-car accident in Forresters Beach.
Yesterday at 6.45pm, a sedan and utility crashed on The Entrance Road at Forresters Beach.
The 53-year-old driver of the vehicle died on the spot.
Paramedics treated the 30-year-old ute driver and his 29-year-old passenger before transporting them to the hospital in stable condition.
The circumstances behind the crash are being investigated.
In Gosford, a multi-car accident injured two persons.
Four automobiles were involved in a rear-end incident on the Central Coast Highway at Racecourse Road in West Gosford around 10.30pm.
Paramedics treated one driver, a 76-year-old male, and transported him to the hospital in serious condition.
A second driver, age 40, was treated on the spot before being sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two other drivers were unharmed.
