Renowned Australian actor and director Lex Marinos OAM passed away at 75 years old.
The performer’s family confirmed his death in a Facebook post late today afternoon, after he died peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home.
Marinos, who was born in Wagga Wagga in the NSW Riverina region, was best known for his appearances in local dramas such as Kingswood Country, A Country Practice, and The Slap.
He was the son of Greek immigrants and was well-known for promoting multiculturalism in Australia.
His decades-long career on the big screen won him an Order of Australia in 1994.
