Inside a train at Sydney’s Central Station, a man wearing a Squid Games costume was tasered for reportedly approaching a police officer while brandishing a knife.
Following the incident on Thursday at approximately 11.40 am, when authorities were made aware of the guy on platform 24, police have released a call for witnesses.
He was dressed as a character from the hit television program.
A few minutes later the train arrived at the platform, and the man got in. Police pursued and got close to the 38-year-old.
“Police will allege the man was in possession of a knife and advanced towards an officer,” police added.
“The officer deployed her taser and the man was arrested without further incident.”
There were no other injuries recorded. For evaluation, the individual was brought to Prince of Wales Hospital.
Police added that while they are still doing their investigation, they are reaching out to anyone who was in the vicinity and might have seen something.
