Family members of the 30-year-old Queensland man who died in yesterday’s motorbike accident in Bali are recalling him as a kind, brave and devoted individual.
Following their trip to Bali for a friend’s wedding, Thomas Cossins and his partner Jasmine went for a ride when he fell from his motorbike.
Around 6.30 a.m. (local time), the couple departed Seminyak and travelled to Canggu, where they met up with another rider, before making their way into the Gitgit mountains.
A buddy claims that Thomas lost control of his Kawasaki Ninja as he was approaching a bend and crashed into a concrete pillar.
He was riding in full speed.
Online, Jasmine paid tribute to her fiancée.
“To the love of my life, my soul mate, my fiancé, my best friend – I will never forget you and I will do everything in my power to honour your brilliance,” she wrote in her letter.
In the motorcycling community, Cossins was a well-known and respected rider with a lot of experience.
Cossins’ family and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade are working to bring his body back to his homeland.
