Following a late-night encounter in Sydney, a guy referred to as the Angel of Death was shot in a manner reminiscent of an execution.
According to police, Tarek Ayoub was shot and killed in Parramatta at around 3.30 in the morning as he was leaving the meeting with a friend.
According to Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty, it looked as though multiple gunmen had attacked Ayoub and that many shots had been fired.
Ayoub was given treatment by emergency personnel on Harold Street, but he passed away there.
Emergency services were called to A’beckett Street in Granville at around 3.45 in the morning after discovering a suspected getaway car on fire.
The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier. According to Doherty, there have been reports of two guys fleeing the area in a white SUV-style vehicle.
Potential connections between the two occurrences are being searched for by investigators.
According to Doherty, it is now “too many suspects, too many motives” to determine the motivation for Ayoub’s targeting.
“He was a person who was very known for being involved in organised crime,” Doherty stated.
“Mr Ayoub certainly lived by the sword and died by the sword.”
Ayoub, according to him, was connected to a number of criminal organisations and had previously been the subject of investigations into serious crimes, including murder.
In the past, Ayoub entered a guilty plea to hiding information regarding the shooting death of adolescent Brayden Dillon as he was asleep in his Glenfield home.
Police discovered a Glock handgun, cash, and cocaine beneath Ayoub’s couch; he was also charged.
Doherty stated that police would work to stop and deter any such acts of this nature in the upcoming weeks, despite the fact that he acknowledged the shooting was targeted and that there was no continuous risk to the public.
To find the murderers, a team of more than thirty investigators has been created.
It’s the first gangland execution in the city in almost half a year.
