Police are investigating the reason of a deadly car accident that killed a three-year-old child on Wednesday evening.
A Mitsubishi ASX was going along Lowmead Road in the rural town of Rosedale, around 400 kilometres north of Brisbane, around 7.30 p.m., Queensland Police said.
The forensic collision unit’s first investigations revealed that the SUV drove off the road and crashed, according to police.
Despite efforts by spectators and emergency personnel, a three-year-old passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the spot.
The 38-year-old female driver of the vehicle was brought to Bundaberg Hospital for minor injuries.
An eight-month-old passenger was not hurt.
