In order to participate in NASA’s lunar mission in 2028, a group of Australian scientists has constructed a Moon Rover.
When NASA requested Arose, a team of Australian robotics experts, to design a lunar rover, they came up with “Roover.”
Scientists in Perth are in control of the rover’s four-wheel drive, which is fuelled by solar energy.
There’s a pocket-sized digger included with the rover.
The scientific achievement, according to Arose Lead Engineer Dr. Sarah Cannard, elevated Australian scientists to a “global stage.”
“Having this lunar rover host a NASA payload demonstrates to the world what we are capable of,” she stated.
Leanne Cunnold, CEO of Arose, described the Australian rover as a “massive deal”.
The several cameras on Roover will send back video feeds to Earth.
