After being struck in Melbourne by an allegedly stolen BMW carrying two teenagers, a 19-year-old motorcyclist passed away.
While authorities searched for the teenage driver, a 16-year-old passenger was first detained and then freed.
They both allegedly left the area. In the collision in Preston in Melbourne’s northeast, Davide Pollina, a resident of Wollert in the city’s north, lost her life.
Saturday night, right before midnight, there were reports of burglaries at a Pascoe Vale South home party.
The family’s Mazda was swiftly reversible onto the incorrect side of Coonans Road, and a white BMW trailed closely behind.
That automobile was seen driving in the other direction, stopping to pick up a man wearing a hood.
The same BMW, according to the police, recklessly passed other vehicles while traveling toward Bell Street, where it would crash and murder Pollina an hour later. One Italian relative wrote, “RIP Davide, my life.”
This year, he is the third Victorian who has been reportedly killed by juvenile offenders.
Shortly after, the BMW is said to have collided with a motorcycle at a Preston junction.
Premier Jacinta Allan offered “my deepest deepest sympathy” but stated she was unable to speak on the cause.
The 19-year-old motorcycle rider was left for dead when two of the occupants of the pilfered BMW allegedly escaped on foot.
Despite their best efforts, the police could not save him when they arrived.
A sixteen-year-old was taken into custody not far from Preston’s Bell and Victoria Street crossroads.
Regarding the death and the damage the BMW did when it crashed through a garage door, he was questioned and then freed without being charged.
The driver is still being sought by the police.
