After discovering an allegedly operational drug lab in Sydney’s west, police detained one individual.
At 11.30 a.m. today, organised crime officers carried out a search warrant in Silverdale.
Officers purportedly found evidence of an operational covert laboratory during the search and confiscated a number of items, including parts for firearms and a sizable quantity of powder and liquid that they believe to be narcotics.
Additionally, they allegedly discovered a cannabis farm that contained several marijuana plants as well as chemicals that were presumably used to make illegal substances.
To evaluate the lab’s size and disassemble it, Fire and Rescue NSW and specialist police were called in.
In connection with the discovery, police detained a 30-year-old male about 2:30 PM today. He was brought to the Campsie Police Station, where a charge is anticipated.
Detectives obtained a search warrant after they discovered a purported criminal network that was bringing in glassware “consistent with the manufacture of prohibited drugs.”
Every object that is taken in will be examined by forensics.
