When a driver in Sydney’s south slammed into two other cars over night, it is alleged that he was three times above the legal drinking limit.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., there were complaints of a three-vehicle collision, so police were dispatched to Forest Road near the intersection of Scott Road in Peakhurst.
Before the two cars collided in the southbound lane, police were informed that a Land Rover SUV was going south and a Kia sedan was travelling north.
The Kia kept going and ran into a Hyundai vehicle. Before the passengers in the Land Rover were sent to St. George Hospital for additional care, all of the vehicle’s occupants received minor injuries treatment on the spot.
When the 66-year-old male driver of the sedan was put through a breath test, he reportedly gave a positive result.
After being brought to the Kogarah Police Station, a secondary breath analysis was performed on him, and the purported result was 0.162.
The guy was denied bail and ordered to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today after being accused with high-range PCA and careless driving.
Forest Road has reopened after being blocked in both directions.
