The discovery of a dead man outside a Burnside Heights home, while the gunman is still at free, has shocked residents in northwest Melbourne.
Police were called to a house on Tenterfield Drive at 9:10 p.m. yesterday in response to allegations of a man who seemed to have been shot.
When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old Wallan man dead.
The man banged on people’s door and yelled for help, according to the residents.
The police believe this to have been a targeted attack after finding a white hatchback at the location that had been shot many times.
In order to obtain more information, detectives have set up a crime scene and are presently knocking on neighbors’ doors5.
“It’s scary for the elderly and the young kids, a lot of young families around here,” he said.
The cops are still looking for the shooter.
