During severe weather in the southeast of Western Australia, a beloved couple from the Margaret River area lost their lives when a tree smashed into their pickup.
Yesterday at approximately 3:30 p.m., a big tree uprooted when Lynne, 78, and Brian Warren, 75, were travelling on Graphite Road near Burnside at Deanmill.
They were injured at the site, and their Isuzu D-Max utility was crushed.
Major crash unit investigators are investigating the scene.
In Margaret River, the Warrens were widely renowned for their altruism.
