Following a reported hit-and-run in Perth that left a three-year-old boy with significant injuries, police are requesting any information.
According to WA Police, the kid was discovered hurt yesterday afternoon near The Strand in Bayswater sometime between 12.30 and 1 pm.
It is thought that the blue automobile struck the toddler and that the driver did not stop following the collision.
It’s understood that the boy’s mother fled outdoors after hearing her son’s horrifying screams.
She got him up, carried him to her car, and took him to Perth Children’s Hospital to receive treatment for severe damage to his legs. Fortunately, the boy’s older brother reported that he only had a leg fracture.
The boy’s screams were also heard by the boy’s neighbors, who characterized them as devastating and extremely loud.
“I heard terrible thump noise and I’ve heard a child yelling and screaming in pain and very, very distressed,” Kathy, a neighbor, said.
The toddler was outside the home when the boy’s family informed a social worker that they had just departed.
However, it appears that no one on the street is aware of the subsequent events.
Police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the make or model of the blue vehicle and have conducted a thorough examination of the street for any potential leads.
