Following a hastily called crisis meeting in reaction to Friday’s historic worldwide technical failure, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese declared that there was “no impact to critical infrastructure, government services, or triple-0 services”.
An emergency conference was organized by Australian government agencies, banks, airlines, and shops in reaction to the historic worldwide technical failure that occurred on Friday.

“I understand Australians are concerned about the outage that is unfolding globally and affecting a wide range of services,” he stated.
“There is no impact to critical infrastructure, government services or triple-0 services at this stage.”
The National Coordination Mechanism has been launched, according to Mr. Albanese.
“My government is working closely with the National Cyber Security Coordinator,” said the statement.
CrowdStrike was present at the meeting, according to Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil, who also stated, “We can confirm there is no evidence that this is a cybersecurity incident.”
“This is a technical issue, caused by a CrowdStrike update to its customers.” According to Ms O’Neil, the problem has been resolved.
“They have issued a fix for this, allowing affected companies and organisations to reboot their systems without the problem,” she stated.
The Home Affairs Cyber and Infrastructure Security Center’s deputy secretary, Hamish Hansford, also posted a statement of the emergency meeting on social media.
“CrowdStrike are working on the fix, they’ve provided technical support to their customers,” he stated.
“Over the next hours and days we hope that this incident will self-resolve as technical responses kick in.”
“There is no reason to panic, CrowdStrike are on it, it is not a cybersecurity incident and we’re working as fast as we can to resolve the incident.”
