Following a tragic stabbing inside a Melbourne home, a man has been charged.
Around 8.40 p.m. on Thursday, a 36-year-old man was discovered gravely hurt inside a house on Victoria Drive in Thomastown.
Despite CPR from the police, the man passed away at the spot.
Mark News is aware that the residence is a halfway house because a number of short-term tenants frequently come and go from it.
At the site, a Glenroy man, 45, was taken into custody.
Detectives from the Homicide Squad today accused the guy of stealing, common law assault, and burglary.
His court appearance is scheduled for today at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
About the alleged stabbing, police are still looking for a second person.
The suspected stabbing “appears to be a targeted attack,” according to Victoria Police.
