In May, there was a reported stabbing death in Brisbane’s south, leading to the charging of a 17-year-old teenager with murder.
According to police, on May 17, at 2:30 p.m., the youngster and a 19-year-old guy got into a fight outside a house on Gregory Street at Acacia Ridge.
The younger youngster allegedly pulled out a knife and gave the man several stab wounds.
On June 18, the victim passed away from his wounds after being taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in severe condition.
Prior charges against the 17-year-old included attempted murder, making violent threats, and having a knife in a public place.
The Richlands Children’s Court increased his charge to murder today.
His next scheduled appearance is August 29.
