Allegedly held at knife point in aute following a police pursuit close to Albury in southern NSW, the 31-year-old lady was claimed to be.
On Friday around 11 a.m., police sought to halt the ute at a petrol station in Jindera in the Riverina.
It said drove a police car and neglected to halt, starting a chase. Road spikes halted it finally on Urana Road.
Alleged to be armed with a knife, the man reportedly kept a 31-year-old woman against her will inside the car when police arrived.
The male was arrested while the woman was securely released following police discussions.
Three outstanding warrants were executed at Albury police station after he was brought there.
Among the other charges he was charged with were predatory driving, intimidating intend fear physical injury, drive aggressively or speed dangerous, drive motor vehicle while disqualification time.
He was turned down bail to show up before Wagga Wagga Local Court today.
