Online, artificial intelligence (AI)-generated nude photos including the faces of at least fifty female pupils from one Victoria high school have gone viral.
The schoolgirls’ faces are used on AI-generated bodies in the phoney pictures.
The targeted females attend Bacchus Marsh Grammar, a northwest Melbourne school, in grades 9 through 12.
Victoria Police is looking into how the pictures, which were posted on social media platforms including Instagram and Snapchat, got out there.
Investigators are trying to find out if the pictures were sent on June 7 via an app to someone in the Melton area.
According to Bacchus Marsh Grammar, it knew stuff was created and shared, but it didn’t know who was in charge.
