Due to their alleged involvement in a road rage incident that occurred in Sydney’s west earlier this year, two men have been prosecuted.
At approximately 5 p.m. on April 5, a Toyota Corolla allegedly cut off a 25-year-old man who was traveling on Yerrick Road in Lakemba.
Subsequently, the driver of the Toyota allegedly stopped his car in the middle of the road, cut off the other man in traffic once more, and produced a knife.
An image from the incident captured by the passenger of the accused victim showed a man stepping out of the Toyota while wearing a black raincoat or hoodie.
The other car allegedly struck the Toyota as it sped away after the man hurried up to the window, according to the police.
According to the police, the Toyota then pursued the other vehicle through the nearby streets.
This morning, following several weeks of inquiry, a guy, 27, was taken into custody at a Granville home by the police.
In addition to driving recklessly and angrily, he was also accused of employing an offensive weapon with the intent to conduct an indictable offense.
He was charged with a number of driving offenses.
The 27-year-old will make an appearance at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow after being denied bail.
On Thursday, June 6, at Campsie Police station, the 32-year-old guy who was supposedly the owner of the Toyota was taken into custody a few days prior.
Although it is thought that he was not in the vehicle at the time, he was accused of dealing in illegal vehicles and failing to reveal the driver’s name.
He was given bail and is scheduled to appear in Bankstown Local Court the following month.
