Days after a car struck two bicycles on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, a man passed away in the hospital.
Tuesday at around 6.10 a.m., there was a crash at Belrose’s Forest Way.
The two bikers, Michael Collings, 56, and Nick Sky, 47, were admitted to the hospital with critical to serious injuries.
Collings is still hospitalized, but Sky has passed away, according to police today.
The 24-year-old driver who was purportedly in control of the vehicle fled the collision unharmed and was brought to the hospital for required testing.
After that, he was brought to the Manly Police Station, where he was accused with reckless driving resulting in serious bodily injury and of causing bodily harm by mishandling a motor vehicle.
Conditional bail was granted, and he is scheduled to appear in Manly Local Court on July 24.
