Following two distinct shootings south of Brisbane, police are searching for two alleged gunman who are fugitives.
According to authorities, the night of the alleged shootings started when several individuals, one of whom was armed, broke into a house on Logan’s Granger Road at approximately 7:40 p.m. yesterday.
Jake Nicoll, a 23-year-old guy, was reportedly asked for multiple goods by the group, but he refused.
Nicoll allegedly sustained a neck wound when the gun was fired, according to the police.
After leaving the site in a car with only a few personal belongings, the group allegedly fled.
Before Nicoll’s family members at the house went door to door pleading with someone to call for an ambulance, neighbors claimed to have heard a tremendous bang.
Nicoll’s non-life-threatening injury required hospitalization. According to the police, this was an attempted robbery.
Two hours later, what looked to be a drive-by shooting occurred at the nearby Logan Reserve.
Three teens were among the five occupants of the Hyundai when the bullet entered through the rear passenger window.
Detective Senior Sergeant Nicola Brown reported, “An unknown driver in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer has fired a shot into the window of the victims vehicle.”
“We are extremely grateful no one were injured.”
Although they don’t think the two reported shootings are related, police said the incidents were alarming.
There is currently a manhunt going on for at least two suspected gunman.
