Following reports that a guy in Perth had crashed an axe into a bus, commuters were taken aback.
According to Mark News, the man was a passenger on a Transperth bus travelling on route 998 at 12 p.m. today (AWST) from a location close to the University of Washington to Swancare.
The man reportedly boarded at the Morely train station and started “bickering” with a woman he appeared to know, according to witnesses.
When the argument grew violent and the man allegedly pulled out an axe and threatened passengers, a passenger requested him to get off the bus.
According to one witness, they were “very scared” of what was happening.
After being forced from the bus, he was seen on CCTV rushing in its direction while brandishing an axe.
He is said to have struck the car multiple times before vanishing into the neighbouring jungle.
The police say they are searching for the alleged attacker and conducting an investigation.
