Mark News can confirm that two adolescent girls allegedly randomly accosted an Adelaide woman yesterday afternoon while she was out for a run and demanded a vaporizer.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., Breanna Coats, 24, was jogging along Brodie Road in Huntfield Heights when the kids asked to borrow her vape pen.
They accused Coats of lying when she claimed she didn’t have one.
“Next thing I know she grabbed my arm as you can see, pulled my hair and shoved me onto the ground and yeah she was just repeatedly kicking my head for a solid 10 minutes,” Coats recalled.
She shouted while pinning herself to the ground and holding her arms behind her back.
“I was thinking ‘Oh my god are they going to leave me unconscious here’?”
The youthful assailants fled when two women stopped to assist her.
Coats spent the night in the hospital after reporting the event to the police.
Although her physical wounds will heal, the attack has left her shaken.
Sara Williams, her mother, said it was awful to consider how much worse it may have been.
“I’m relieved that it wasn’t significantly worse,” Williams remarked.
