A father in the northern suburbs of Adelaide is afraid that someone will be killed after an additional reckless vehicle crashed into his home.
Five times, Peter Virgin claims that his front fence has been destroyed, but the authorities have not acknowledged the danger.
He declared, “Someone is going to die.”
In the most recent collision, a 29-year-old driver who had allegedly been disqualified collided into Virgin’s makeshift concrete barricade that she had built to guard her property while trying to avoid the authorities.
He claims the automobile would have crashed into his daughter’s bedroom last night if it hadn’t been there.
Mustafa Ipekdal, Virgin’s neighbor, criticized the City of Salisbury for its inaction, pointing out the lack of appropriate curbing and the possible risk to the youngsters in the neighborhood.
“He’s doing it himself, he’s preparing the place himself,” stated the man.
“Nothing has ever been done by the council. This place does not curb. The children are not safe there.”
The Department of Transport of the state government, according to the council, is in charge of the route.
It acknowledged the safety concerns raised by the recent crashes and stated that it is open to talking about possible safety measures.
The driver of the most recent collision has been taken into custody.
Virgin promises to protect himself and his family by leaving the concrete blocks up in the interim.
