According to local media, a woman has been taken into custody while authorities look for two Australian brothers who went missing while vacationing in Mexico and went surfing.
In an effort to locate Jake and Callum Robinson, as well as their American buddy Jack Rhoad, who vanished from their Rosarito lodging four days ago, family and friends are requesting aid.
Callum’s family is even more concerned because he has type 1 diabetes.
The two are thought to have been on a surfing and camping vacation in the Baja California region, close to Ensenada.
One of the brothers’ cell phones was found in the possession of a woman, according to Mark News, however it is unclear which male it belonged to.
It is believed that when she turned the phone on, a nearby mobile tower received a ping, enabling law enforcement to locate her.
It’s also known that when she was arrested, drugs were discovered on her by the authorities.
Authorities reported that they scoured the whole Baja Coast extensively today.
They claimed that the extensive search was necessary since they currently lacked substantial proof.
The brothers had a white Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.
Callum is a talented lacrosse player who has played for Australia and currently resides in California.
Debra Robinson, their mother, has posted requests for assistance or information on social media.
“I’m contacting everyone who has seen my two boys. Since Saturday, April 27, they have not gotten in touch with us,” she stated.
“After their camping weekend, they were supposed to check into an Airbnb in Rosarito, but they never showed up.
“There is a medical problem as well because Callum has type 1 diabetes. If you have seen them or know where they are, please get in touch with me.”
A representative for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade stated that the family is receiving consular support from DFAT.
