Mother-of-four Erica Hay, who was discovered dead in her Warnbro home, was described as a “beautiful and caring” individual who would sacrifice anything for her four daughters.
Detectives investigating homicide are still questioning her partner. Early on Friday morning, police were alerted to a house fire, which they are investigating as suspicious.
A man carrying a three-year-old girl was spotted on CCTV strolling towards his neighbours after coming out of their property.
Police discovered Erica Hay dead inside the bedroom in the back.
Amanda Broad, Hay’s lifetime friend, recalled the girl she’s known since Kalgoorlie primary school today.
“I’ll never get over her smile and her laugh, she was the goofiest person you’d ever meet,” Broad said.
Hay’s friends claim that in the week prior to her passing, they had suspicions about something.
Hay texted Broad asking for assistance, but the pregnant mother neglected to respond.
Hay’s partner is still being held by the police, and the house fire is still being investigated.
No offences have been brought against the man.
The toddler, who is three years old, is currently in a stable condition at the hospital.
