In the alpine region of Victoria, a light plane disaster claimed the lives of two persons.
At approximately 1:40 PM today, the aircraft crashed at Mount Beauty Airfield as it was over Embankment Drive.
The collision sparked a massive emergency response.
“Paramedics responded with significant resources dispatched to the scene including Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics, Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) paramedics and an air ambulance,” Victoria Ambulance stated in a statement.
Despite receiving care on the spot, two patients were not able to be saved.
Although the two have not yet been officially recognised, police said they are believed to be the pilot and passenger.
According to the cops, they were the only people on board.
