In the Gladstone district of Queensland, a man was shot by police this morning and died as a result.
Around 10.50 a.m., the event happened at a rest area in Colosseum, 20 km south of Miriam Vale.
The police stated “investigations and subsequent responses are ongoing” .
The population of Colosseum, a rural area in the Gladstone Region, is roughly 218.
There are detours in place and the Bruce Highway is closed in both directions at this location.
The Crime and Corruption Commission will supervise the Ethical Standards Command’s investigation into the event.
