After allegedly threatening employees at a pub in Western Australia with a gun and then attacking another man, a man has been charged with 17 offences.
Gregory John Taylor, 41, is accused by the police of entering a licenced establishment in Mogumber, which is approximately 120 kilometres northeast of Perth, at 7:30 p.m. yesterday.
Taylor reportedly threatened three employees of the pub after being ejected earlier, according to the police, and then he returned and fired a rifle shot into the ground.
According to authorities, the 41-year-old assaulted a different staff member who tried to step in and stop him.
Following her, a police helicopter and a large number of officers pursued Taylor as she fled the scene.
Around 10.40 p.m. same night, he was taken into custody at a residence in New Norcia, which is roughly 23 km from the town centre.
Taylor appeared in court today facing 17 charges, including four counts of pointing a firearm at another person, aggravated burglary, threats to kill, and firearm discharge.
The 41-year-old will remain in custody until he appears in court again next month because he did not request bail.
