While looking for a young woman who fell from a waterfall while bushwalking, a body has been discovered.
The 20-year-old went missing on Sunday in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, at Belmore Falls, close to Robertson.
At 11 a.m. today, a body was discovered after a search that involved numerous emergency agencies and divers.
The body has not yet been properly recognised, but according to the police, it is thought to be that of the missing bushwalker.
After receiving an alert at approximately 1pm on Sunday, emergency authorities cancelled a massive ground party and helicopter search because of waning light.
Police divers were requested to assist in the search yesterday, and at 8 a.m. today, it was renewed.
One of the main draws for tourists is the waterfall.
In order to assist emergency responders, NSW National Parks and Wildlife has closed the falls until tomorrow.
