In remote Victoria on Friday, the body of 23-year-old Hannah McGuire was discovered in a burnt-out car; a 21-year-old man has been charged with murder.
McGuire was described by her friends as a “beautiful and kind-hearted girl” whose “smile and laughter lit up any room you entered.”
McGuire’s parents, Glenn and Debbie, sponsor the Clunes Cricket Club, which organized a benefit for the McGuire family.
“We extend our sincere sympathies and affection as a community… It stated, “Hannah was well-known for being a bright young lady with a golden heart.”
Glenn and Debbie are incredibly giving individuals who support the Clunes Cricket Club.
“As a club and a community, we want to put our arms around the McGuire family and everyone close to Hannah.”
The 21-year-old and a 22-year-old male were both arrested by police yesterday, and the 21-year-old was charged with murder today afternoon.
Last Friday, McGuire’s body was discovered in a burned-out automobile close to State Forests Road in Scarsdale, which is southwest of Ballarat.
“The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called to reports of a vehicle on fire in bushland near State Forest Road just before 10am on Friday, April 5,” Victoria Police stated this afternoon.
“The remains of a 23-year-old Clunes woman were located inside the vehicle.”
Authorities suspect McGuire knew the person who killed her. Tomorrow, the 21-year-old is scheduled to appear in Ballarat Magistrates’ Court.
